Chinese Investors Explore New Projects in Ferghana Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The authorities of Ferghana Region and representatives of Chinese businesses have discussed the implementation of new investment projects in industry and building materials manufacturing.

The talks took place during a meeting between Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation of executives from leading Chinese companies led by Ying Yuxing, general director of the Guangdong Home Building-Decoration Materials Chamber.

As noted during the meeting, the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China creates additional opportunities for expanding interregional cooperation.

In recent years, ties between Ferghana Region and Chinese provinces, as well as PRC business circles, have strengthened in the areas of investment, industry, and trade.

The Chinese delegation presented projects to establish manufacturing facilities for building materials and metal structures in Ferghana Region, including in the Bagdad District. In addition, the investors expressed interest in implementing projects in other promising industrial sectors.

Khayrullo Bozorov stressed that the implementation of new investment initiatives is important for developing the regional economy, creating jobs, and strengthening the region's industrial potential.

According to him, responsible agencies have been instructed to provide investors with comprehensive practical support at all stages of project implementation.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to begin detailed preparation of specific investment initiatives, determine implementation mechanisms, and continue developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
