Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 19 September, the eighth round of the World Chess Olympiad took place in Budapest.

The Uzbekistan men’s team secured a hard-fought victory against the Serbian team with a score of 2.5:1.5.

A key role in this success was played by Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who won his match. Jahongir Sindarov, Nodirbek Yakubbaev, and Shamshiddin Vakhidov ended their games in draws.

Unfortunately, the Uzbekistan women’s team suffered a defeat against the USA with a score of 3.5:0.5.

Nodira Nodirjanova drew her game, while Afruza Khamdamova, Umida Omonova, and Nilufar Yakubbaeva lost to their opponents.
