Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In the fifth round of the FIDE Chess Olympiad, the Uzbekistan men’s team secured a victory over Moldova with a score of 3.5-0.5.

Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Jahongir Vakhidov, and Javokhir Sindarov won their games, while Nodirbek Yakuboev drew his game.

Following the fifth round, the men’s team is positioned 7th in the tournament standings.

Meanwhile, the women’s team suffered a defeat against Georgia with a result of 1.5-2.5.

Afruza Khamdamova, Umida Omonova, and Nodira Nodirjanova drew their games, while Marjona Malikova lost her match.

After five rounds, the Uzbekistan women’s team is in 15th place in the tournament standings.
