Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A meeting of Central Asian foreign ministers was held in Tashkent in preparation for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Republic of Kazakhstan - Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Kyrgyz Republic - Chingiz Aidarbekov, the Republic of Tajikistan - Sirojidin Mukhriddin and Turkmenistan - Rashid Meredov discussed the development of regional cooperation and the preparations for the summit.

During the meeting it was emphasized that at present in Central Asia, thanks to the political will of the heads of state, a fundamentally new atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual trust has been formed.

The ministers noted with satisfaction the dynamic growth in trade turnover, the intensification of work on the development of transport and communication networks, the launch of new land and air routes connecting the countries of the region.

The parties considered the agenda of the upcoming 29 November Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent, which will include issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation, development of transport infrastructure, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian interaction. The ministers also, along with the draft summit document, discussed other planned solutions.
