Bauman Moscow State Technical University Presents Admission Opportunities at Tashkent Branch
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A meeting with representatives of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) dedicated to the admissions campaign for the Tashkent branch for the 2026/2027 academic year was held at the Russian House in Tashkent.
The event took place at the office of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Republic of Uzbekistan and brought together over 70 participants, including applicants, high school students, and their parents.
Irina Staroselskaya, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Uzbekistan, delivered welcome remarks. She emphasized that opening the BMSTU branch in Tashkent expands opportunities for young people in Uzbekistan to receive modern engineering and technical education and trains highly qualified specialists needed in the labor market.
The meeting was attended by Anton Egorov, Director for International Activities at BMSTU; Ilya Matveev, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan; Philipp Galnbeck, representative of the university in the Republic of Uzbekistan; and Sardor Donaev, acting director of the Tashkent branch.
University representatives detailed the available degree programs, admission rules, entrance examinations, opportunities for grant-based tuition, and career prospects for graduates.
In 2026, the branch is admitting students across three undergraduate majors: Computer Science and Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies, and Design and Technology of Electronic Means. A total of 100 study seats are allocated, 30 of which will be funded through state grants from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Special emphasis during the event was placed on practice-oriented learning, participation of main-campus faculty in the educational process, collaboration with industrial enterprises, and industrial internship opportunities.
The event concluded with an open Q&A session in which BMSTU representatives answered questions from prospective applicants and parents regarding studies, admission procedures, and career outlooks.
