Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Joint military exercises titled “Unity Force 2026” involving military personnel from Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan have begun in Azerbaijan, the Department of Information and Public Communications of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Defense said.
The exercises began at the Gizilgaya Training Center in Azerbaijan's Karabakh Economic Region. Military personnel from the defense ministries of the three countries are participating in the drills, along with military equipment, naval and aviation assets, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The main objectives of the exercises include improving readiness for joint operations, enhancing coordination between units and standardizing training procedures. Participants are also conducting exercises aimed at strengthening the combat capabilities of the units.
During the opening ceremony, representatives of the leadership highlighted the importance of exchanging best practices across various areas, studying modern approaches and methods, and further developing practical cooperation between the military units of the three countries.
The joint training is also aimed at improving the quality of tasks performed by military personnel, exchanging experience and strengthening coordination among participants.
The exercises are being conducted in three stages. In addition to the Gizilgaya Training Center in the Karabakh Economic Region, activities will take place at the Karabaghlar Training Center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Boyuk Zira training ground in Azerbaijan's sector of the Caspian Sea.
