Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Doniyor Turgunboyev won a bronze medal at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in wushu, competing in the sanda event in the up to 75 kg weight category.
Turgunboyev reached the tournament semifinals, where he faced an athlete from Iran. The Uzbek competitor lost the bout for a place in the final and finished the competition with a bronze medal.
With Turgunboyev’s result, Uzbekistan’s wushu athletes have completed their participation in the Asian Games.
As of now, Uzbekistan’s national team has won 10 medals: one gold, four silver and five bronze.
