A Mercedes-Benz passenger bus caught fire in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 20 December, at approximately 20:30, on Mirzo-Ulugbek Street, opposite the bus depot No. 5, a Mercedes-Benz passenger bus, serving on route No. 151 “Metro station Buyuk ipak yuli – Chingeldy”.

The fire broke out in the engine compartment of the vehicle, causing the rear seat to catch fire.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the fire as it was returning to the bus depot. The fire was extinguished at 20:47. No one was injured as a result of the incident.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire and assess property damage.
