Wildberries to Invest Over US$300 Million in Uzbekistan Hub

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — RWB, the joint company of Wildberries & Russ, plans to establish a Central Asian logistics hub in Uzbekistan and invest more than US$300 million in infrastructure development, according to RWB Chief Executive Officer Robert Mirzoyan on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The project envisions the creation of an export center based on Wildberries’ existing logistics infrastructure in the region, along with the launch of new export-oriented initiatives.

The Central Asian logistics hub is expected to bring together a Wildberries sorting center and a warehouse complex under construction in the Tashkent region covering around 170,000 square meters, as well as infrastructure in other countries where the company operates. It will serve as a key platform for consolidating logistics flows in Central Asia and a base for promoting local producers’ goods to international markets.

The project also includes the formation of a unified logistics node connecting Russia, Uzbekistan and the Middle East, and enabling transit of goods to African markets along the China–Uzbekistan–Africa route.

Mirzoyan said the expansion of the company’s international presence would increase exports of Uzbek products to foreign markets. Investments will be directed toward logistics infrastructure development and the launch of new services for consumers and entrepreneurs.

RWB was created following the merger of Wildberries and the outdoor advertising operator Russ. It currently operates in several countries, including Central Asia, Russia, the Caucasus, Africa and the Middle East.
