Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 4,177 enterprises with foreign investment were operating in Uzbekistan’s industrial sector as of 1 September 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Industry ranked second among the country’s main economic activity sectors by the number of enterprises with foreign capital. The trade sector had the highest number, with 7,637 enterprises.
The information and communications sector accounted for 1,840 enterprises with foreign participation, while construction had 1,769.
A further 945 enterprises operated in accommodation and food services, and 665 were engaged in transportation and storage.
The agricultural, forestry and fishing sector had 541 enterprises with foreign investment. Healthcare and social services accounted for 247 enterprises.
Other economic activities accounted for 3,669 enterprises with foreign participation.
In total, 21,490 enterprises with foreign investment were operating in Uzbekistan as of 1 September 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
