Uzbekistan Wins 13 More Medals at Islamic Solidarity Games

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek delegation continued its successful performance at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, winning four gold, four silver, and five bronze medals on 18 November.

Among the gold medalists were Alisher Ganiev in Greco-Roman wrestling (up to 60 kg), Ibrokhim Makhkamov in the triple jump, Amir Nagaev in the high jump, and Nodir Norboev in the decathlon.

Silver medals were awarded to Yorkinbek Odilov (para-athletics, discus throw), Ilyas Moline (fencing, foil), Sevara Rakhimova (fencing, épée), and Zakhiriddin Shokirov (athletics, decathlon).

Bronze medals were won by Aitjan Khalmakhanov and Abdullo Aliev (Greco-Roman wrestling, up to 67 kg and 77 kg respectively), Radmir Semeneev and Shakhzoda Egamberdieva (fencing, foil and épée), and Zarinkhon Nosirjonova (athletics, hammer throw).
