Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Japan will provide Uzbekistan with 90 modern gas distribution stations to help modernize the country’s gas supply infrastructure. The total value of the equipment will amount to US$3 million, Hududgazta’minot JSC said.
The project is being implemented as part of long-term cooperation between Hududgazta’minot JSC and Japanese company ITO Corporation. The Japanese side plans to provide the equipment to Uzbekistan free of charge this year as a grant.
Specialists are currently surveying the sites where the new gas distribution stations are planned to be installed. In particular, they are assessing the technical condition of existing gas networks, the feasibility of installing the equipment and conditions for its safe commissioning.
At the same time, specialists from Uzbekistan and Japan are coordinating the technical requirements and recommendations needed to install the new equipment.
The project is expected to help normalize gas pressure in the regions, improve the reliability of gas supplies and ensure more efficient use of energy resources.
The installation of modern gas distribution stations is also expected to expand opportunities for stable and safe supplies of natural gas to consumers.
The project is part of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan on modernizing gas supply infrastructure and introducing modern technologies.
