Uzbekistan Tax Committee Reaches Agreements with UK Universities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Tax Committee has reached agreements with British universities on training specialists and developing educational programs in taxation. The agreements were reached on the first day of a working visit by committee representatives to the United Kingdom.
Under an agreement with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a faculty specializing in the shadow economy is planned to be established at the Higher School of Tax Service. In addition, 20 specialists from Uzbekistan will be able to undertake internships in the United Kingdom.
Another area of cooperation involves Hull Business School. Together with the British institution, Uzbekistan plans to organize specialized training courses on issues related to the shadow economy and the digitalization of the tax system.
The Tax Committee said the agreements are aimed at studying advanced international experience and subsequently introducing it into national practice.
The cooperation will also focus on training a new generation of specialists for Uzbekistan’s tax sector.
