Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Large enterprises in Uzbekistan produced basic pharmaceutical products and preparations worth nearly 3 trillion soums in January–May 2026, marking a 22.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Tashkent accounted for the largest share of pharmaceutical output at 1.8 trillion soums, followed by the Syrdarya region with 443.6 billion soums.

Production volume in the Tashkent region reached 226.4 billion soums, while Namangan region recorded 169.1 billion soums and Samarkand region produced 116.9 billion soums.

In the Andijan region, large enterprises manufactured pharmaceutical products worth 71.4 billion soums, compared to 53.4 billion soums in the Ferghana region and 49.3 billion soums in the Surkhandarya region.

Output in the Kashkadarya region stood at 15.4 billion soums, Khorezm region at 12.1 billion soums, and Bukhara region at 7.8 billion soums.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, production reached 3.5 billion soums, while the Jizzakh and Navoiy regions produced 0.1 billion soums each.

The data indicates that the majority of pharmaceutical production by large enterprises during the first five months of 2026 was concentrated in Tashkent and the Syrdarya region.
