Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan imported US$780.4 million worth of meat products in January-September 2026, up 14.5% from US$681.8 million in the same period last year, the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Beef accounted for the largest share of meat imports at 76.6%. Beef imports rose 12.9% in value, from US$529.6 million to US$597.7 million. In volume terms, imports increased 3.5%, from 127,600 tonnes to 132,000 tonnes.

Chicken imports increased 3.9% in value, from US$60.5 million to US$62.8 million, while volumes declined 1.1%, from 52,000 tonnes to 51,400 tonnes.

Lamb imports rose 15.9%, from US$44.5 million to US$51.6 million, while volumes increased 12.8%, from 23,500 tonnes to 26,500 tonnes. Imports of meat by-products grew 6.0% in value, from US$24.4 million to US$25.8 million. In volume terms, they increased 5.3%, from 25,500 tonnes to 26,900 tonnes.

The most notable increase was recorded in duck meat imports. Their value rose 68.5-fold, from US$0.2 million to US$14.4 million, while volumes increased 88.1-fold, from 101 tonnes to 8,905 tonnes.

Turkey meat imports increased 2.9-fold in value, from US$2.6 million to US$7.5 million, while volumes rose 1.9-fold, from 1,500 tonnes to 2,800 tonnes. Sausage imports grew 17.4% in value, from US$4.6 million to US$5.4 million, and increased 11.6% in volume, from 1,800 tonnes to 2,000 tonnes.

Imports of canned meat increased 1.5% in value to US$12.9 million, while volumes declined 11.0%, from 3,700 tonnes to 3,300 tonnes. Pork imports rose 42.7% in value, from US$0.9 million to US$1.3 million, while volumes increased 59.8%, from 262 tonnes to 418 tonnes.

Horse meat imports, by contrast, declined 47.3% in value, from US$1.8 million to US$1.0 million. In volume terms, imports fell 59.9%, from 570 tonnes to 229 tonnes.
