Uzbekistan Expands Cooperation with Air Products in Energy Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the V Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. company Air Products, Eduardo Menezes.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States in the energy, oil and gas, and gas chemical sectors.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan, the introduction of modern technologies, the production of high value-added products, and ensuring the sustainable development of industrial sectors.

It was noted that the consistent development of the Uzbekistan–U.S. strategic partnership in recent years has brought cooperation in the energy sector to a qualitatively new level. In this context, the importance of high-level contacts and previously reached agreements between the leaders of the two countries was emphasized.

Following the meeting, agreements were reached to promote prospective investment projects and further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between the sides.
