Uzbekistan Expands Cooperation in Equestrian Sport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting dedicated to expanding international cooperation in equestrian sport was held in Tashkent, bringing together officials and international representatives.

The talks were attended by a delegation led by Marina Sechina, President of the Eurasian Equestrian Association and head of the Russian Equestrian Federation. On the Uzbek side, participants included Sports Minister Adkham Ikramov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Otabek Umarov, Secretary General Oybek Kasimov, and Chairman of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports Bakhromjon Gaziyev.

Against the backdrop of ongoing prestigious show jumping competitions in the capital, the sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation, including the exchange of experience and the development of specialized infrastructure.

Particular attention was given to the organization of a stage of the show jumping World Cup, as well as hosting competitions under the Eurasian League.

Following the meeting, participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation, ensuring the high-level organization of international tournaments, and continuing joint efforts to develop equestrian sport in the region.
