Uzbekistan, Czech Republic Expand Labor Migration Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, led by Director Bekhzod Musaev, conducted a working visit to the Czech Republic to discuss expanding cooperation in organized labor migration, training qualified personnel, and their employment, according to Dunyo news agency.

One of the key outcomes of the visit was a meeting with Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtech. The parties considered prospects for implementing a pilot project to train and employ Uzbek citizens in medical and social care facilities in the Czech Republic.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group and develop a cooperation roadmap. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to develop partnership in the training, organized employment, and professional adaptation of healthcare workers.

During talks with Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Radek Jakubsky, the sides discussed training specialists to meet the needs of the Czech labor market and expanding engagement with employers. The parties agreed to establish regular information exchange on staffing needs and implement joint projects on organized employment for Uzbek citizens.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation also held meetings with executives of Czech companies operating in industry, healthcare, and recruitment.

At a meeting with Miroslav Mülbeck, head of MONTO, s.r.o., the sides discussed attracting qualified specialists from Uzbekistan to industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic, primarily in the automotive sector. Representatives of the company expressed interest in long-term cooperation with the Migration Agency.

During talks with Ivo Jaros, manager of TOPSEARCH, s.r.o., the parties considered attracting Uzbek specialists to the Czech healthcare system. Main attention was focused on qualification requirements, Czech language study, diploma recognition, and organizing specialized training for candidates in Uzbekistan.

Following a meeting with Peter Lednicky, CEO of Penta Hospitals International, an agreement was reached on cooperation in training and subsequently employing healthcare workers from Uzbekistan. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing partnership in training and organized employment of medical personnel.
