Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan has held a meeting with a delegation from the international non-profit organization The Asia Foundation, led by Josh Friedman, the Director of Public Sector Development.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in supporting entrepreneurship and improving the business environment.

During the negotiations, the participants reviewed issues regarding increasing the country's investment attractiveness, developing digital public services, and creating more favorable conditions for conducting business.

Special attention was paid to simplifying businesses' access to public services, broadening electronic interaction between businesses and government agencies, strengthening legal protections for entrepreneurs, and developing the capabilities of digital platforms.

Furthermore, the sides discussed prospects for implementing joint initiatives aimed at increasing the openness and transparency of the business environment, strengthening investor confidence, and reducing corruption risks.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to jointly develop digital solutions and practical projects to support entrepreneurs, as well as to further develop bilateral cooperation.

The Asia Foundation, founded in 1954, implements programs across nearly 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The organization's activities are focused on improving public governance, developing entrepreneurship, strengthening the rule of law, and increasing the openness and transparency of state institutions.
