Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —The Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Rustam Karimjanov, held a meeting with a delegation from the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), led by the Chairman of the Committee on Business Cooperation between Japan and the CIS Countries, Takeshi Hashimoto. The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of digital technologies, implementing joint projects, and attracting investments.

During the negotiations, special attention was paid to developing interaction in the area of IT specialist training. Taking into account the high demand for qualified personnel in Japan, the meeting participants exchanged views on training specialists in Uzbekistan who meet international standards, developing their professional potential to enter the global labor market, and expanding the export of domestic IT services to the Japanese market.

The representatives of the Japanese delegation were also presented with information regarding the conditions created in Uzbekistan for the construction of data centers, the development of digital infrastructure, and the implementation of major investment projects in the technological sphere.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for the consistent development of practical cooperation in the fields of the digital economy, IT service exports, the creation of modern digital infrastructure, and the development of human capital.
