Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 27 October 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Asad Majid Khan.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the significance of the 16th ECO Summit, which took place in Tashkent last year under the theme "Together towards Economic Stability and Development," for enhancing the Organization's role.
Special attention was given to the implementation of initiatives by the President of Uzbekistan within the ECO framework, as well as the necessity to develop practical tools for effective cooperation. The parties also discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan underscored that the country places great importance on strengthening cooperation within the ECO, as evidenced by the successful hosting of the Organization's Summit in Tashkent last year.
