Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 1 November 2025, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev met with State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria Sepp Schellhorn.

The parties discussed prospects for further development of Uzbek-Austrian relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Both sides noted the high level of bilateral cooperation, expressing satisfaction with the active exchange of delegations and regular contacts at various levels, which contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and advancing practical cooperation.

Sepp Schellhorn praised the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to host the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, emphasizing that holding such a large-scale international forum in this historic city enhances the prestige and global standing not only of Uzbekistan but of the entire Central Asian region.
