Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has included Uzbek referee Ilgiz Tantashev among the top 10 referees at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to the published rankings, the Uzbekistan official placed 10th among referees who officiated matches during the tournament.
IFFHS said the rankings were based on referees' performances in both the group stage and the knockout rounds of the competition.
During the World Cup, Tantashev officiated both group-stage and knockout matches, making him one of the highest-rated representatives of the Asian refereeing corps.
