Three Russian speed skaters join Uzbekistan’s national team

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Three Russian speed skaters have joined Uzbekistan’s national team, according to TASS.

However, the athletes will only be able to represent Uzbekistan in international competitions after completing a two-year quarantine period.

The Uzbekistan team now includes 27-year-old Denis Ayrapetyan and Daniil Eybog, who are the 2020 European champions.

Additionally, the team has welcomed 29-year-old Alexander Semerikov, a three-time bronze medalist in the World Championships for team pursuit and a bronze medalist in the 10,000 meters. He also holds two silver medals from the European Championships in team pursuit and a bronze in mass start.
