TBC Bank and EBRD Launch Free Regional Business School

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The digital bank TBC Uzbekistan, in strategic partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has announced the launch of TBC Biznes Trening, a large-scale free educational program.

The joint initiative is aimed at comprehensively supporting representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the republic and is designed to strengthen their managerial, financial, and entrepreneurial competencies.

The project is being implemented with grant support from the Government of Switzerland through the EBRD's specialized Small Business Impact Fund.

The initial stage of training successfully took place in Tashkent on 12–13 June 2026. According to the approved schedule, the educational framework will expand by September of this year to cover seven key regions of the country: the capital, Tashkent region, Syrdarya region, Jizzakh region, Andijan region, Namangan region, and Ferghana region.

As Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, noted, support for the SME sector extends far beyond providing classic digital products for the financial institution, because sustainable business growth is impossible without direct access to advanced expertise and practical scaling tools.

The training course is organized in a hybrid format and divided into two consecutive blocks: self-study of specialized video lectures online, followed by intensive two-day offline training sessions held on weekends.

The comprehensive program is designed for business owners and top managers of companies, and includes six key vectors: foundations of sustainable management, financial management and business planning, marketing and sales, leadership, process digitalization, and CRM strategies.

The significance of the project for the regions was emphasized by Andi Aranitasi, Head of the EBRD in Uzbekistan, who noted that the SME sector generates more than half of the republic's GDP and provides over two-thirds of all jobs.

According to him, the synergy of the EBRD's expertise and TBC Bank's infrastructure will equalize access to high-quality business education between the capital and the regions, creating new points of economic growth across the country.
