Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent district governor Sardorbek Ergashev held talks on attracting new investment and introducing modern technologies in the region during a visit to the Chinese city of Lianyungang, the Tashkent region administration said.

The two sides also agreed on cooperation in the textile sector with the company Yingyou Xinlichen Textile Technology.

During the meetings, Lianyungang's economic and industrial potential, best production practices and opportunities for introducing modern technologies in the Tashkent district were discussed.

Following the talks, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation with Yingyou Xinlichen Textile Technology. The document provides for interaction in modern textile technologies, the creation of production capacities, the implementation of investment projects and the exchange of experience.

The Chinese side was also presented with the Tashkent district's investment opportunities, its existing industrial infrastructure and the conditions being created for foreign investors.

The agreements reached are expected to contribute to the implementation of new production projects and the creation of additional jobs in the region.
