Smart Traffic Lights Installed on Tashkent-Osh Highway

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Road infrastructure modernization is continuing in Tashkent Region. Modern intelligent traffic light systems have been launched at regulated pedestrian crossings along the section from the 3rd to the 9th kilometre of the A-373 Tashkent-Osh highway.

The new systems provide centralized control of traffic lights, allow оперативе adjustment of traffic flows, reduce the likelihood of congestion and improve road safety.

In addition, the introduction of smart traffic lights is aimed at strengthening control over compliance with traffic rules and improving safety for both pedestrians and drivers.

The authorities noted that modern technologies contribute to improving road safety, but responsible behaviour by all road users remains the key condition for preventing traffic accidents.

Drivers and pedestrians were urged to follow traffic signals, remain attentive and show mutual respect on the roads.
