Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Robakhon Makhmudova was elected chairman of the political council of the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” (Justice) at the party’s plenum, which was held on Saturday.
Former party leader Bakhrom Abdukhalimov was released from his post according to his statement.
Robakhon Makhmudova previously worked as the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.
In 2023, she participated in the presidential elections from the Adolat party and took second place after Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
