Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Competitions on 9 November at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia brought significant success for the Uzbek national team. Uzbek athletes secured a total of 15 medals — three gold, seven silver, and five bronze — substantially boosting the country’s overall medal tally.

The gold medals were won by Adkhamjon Ergashev in the 65 kg weightlifting clean and jerk, Shahzodkhudza Sharipov in judo (90 kg), and Muzaffarbek Toʻraboev in the over 100 kg category.

Seven silver medals went to Adkhamjon Ergashev (weightlifting, total of two lifts, 65 kg), Nigora Abdullaeva in three events (snatch, clean and jerk, and total, 58 kg), Khurshida Razzokberdieva (judo, 70 kg), Irisxon Kurbonboeva (judo, over 78 kg), and Diyorbek Ruzmetov (weightlifting, snatch, 71 kg).

The bronze medalists included Adkhamjon Ergashev (snatch, 65 kg), Uzukjamol Yunusova (boxing, 54 kg), Zilola Yusufova (boxing, 51 kg), Marzhona Kuchimova (judo, 78 kg), and Alisher Yusupov (judo, over 100 kg).
