Power Supply to Be Temporarily Suspended in Three Tashkent Districts
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Electricity supply will be temporarily suspended overnight on 14 July in three districts of Tashkent due to power grid modernisation and reconstruction work, the Tashkent Main Electric Networks said.
Specialists will carry out modernisation and reconstruction work at the Exhibition substation. As a result, consumers in the Almazar and Shaykhantakhur districts will be without electricity from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
In the Almazar district, the outage will affect the Kuyosh, Allon, Chustiy, Orzu, Ziyo, Universitet, Chimboy and Zamondosh mahallas.
In the Shaykhantakhur district, electricity will be temporarily suspended in the Bog Kucha, Yangi Shahar, Ilgor, Zafarobod and Buston mahallas.
Reconstruction work aimed at preventing emergency situations in the power grid will also be carried out at the Istikbol substation in the Yangihayot district.
As a result, electricity will be temporarily suspended from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on 14 July in the Humo, Yangi Umid, Tashabbus, Yangi Turmush, Olchazor, Mashal, Yangihayot, Oriyat, 8-Qurilish, 10-Qurilish, Yangi Darkhan, Yangi Choshtepa and Choshtepa mahallas.
Power utility officials advised residents of the affected areas to take the necessary precautions in advance and asked for their understanding regarding the temporary inconvenience caused by the scheduled work.
