The first day of Yandex.Taxi’s work in Tashkent shows that the services are in high demand

On 4 April, the Yandex.Taxi service successfully launched its work in Uzbekistan. As part of the launch, Yandex.Taxi CEO Tigran Khudaverdyan and other representatives of the company held a number of meetings with the leadership of the Uzbek authorities.
At the meetings, the parties discussed the prospects for development of the taxi transportation sector and digitization of other types of public transport in the country, as well as the possibility of using other Yandex technologies in municipal and republican projects.
Tigran Khudaverdyan, CEO of Yandex.Taxi, said, "The first day of the service in Tashkent has shown that our services are in high demand among local residents - the demand for a taxi has exceeded our expectations by tens of times."
