CEC hosts meeting with second secretary of Japanese Embassy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan Yamagiva Kadzuyoshi on 25 November.

The Uzbek side provided information on preparation and organization of the elections of the President of Uzbekistan, which will be held on 4 December 2016. The Japanese diplomat received information on changes to electoral legislation.

During the meeting, it was said that missions of five international organizations and observers from over 0 foreign states, including Japan, were invited to observe the presidential elections.

The sides exchanged opinion on other issues of mutual interest.
