OSON receives in-principle approval from AFSA for AIFC operations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — International fintech holding company OSON has received In-Principle Approval (IPA) from the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) for its subsidiary, OsonX Ltd.
The decision grants the company access to the FinTech Lab program of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), marking the next stage in the holding company's international regulatory strategy.
Following its entry into the market through the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) jurisdiction in Dubai, integration into the AIFC represents the group's second strategic development direction. The company noted that this move aims to establish a regulated financial infrastructure that connects the markets of Central Asia and the Middle East, enabling the development of innovative payment and financial services.
OSON Founder and Chief Executive Officer Farhod Mahmudov stated that securing the in-principle approval from AFSA validates the high level of preparation within the team and creates opportunities to test new technologies under the FinTech Lab program.
"We are not just creating another fintech product; we are reassembling the very architecture of finance in two of the most dynamic macro-regions in the world," Mahmudov said. "Receiving the IPA from AFSA is direct proof of the incredible professionalism, dedication, and drive of our team. Admission to the FinTech Lab provides us with a platform to legally and safely refine advanced technologies at the intersection of traditional payments and innovative financial solutions. We are building a long-lasting business without borders, and this architecture will allow us to confidently set new market standards for years to ahead."
The OSON team is currently focused on meeting regulatory requirements and finalizing the configuration of its internal processes. After completing all necessary conditions, OsonX Ltd. plans to secure a full license and proceed with a large-scale launch of new products.
OSON operates as an international fintech holding company that develops digital payments, electronic wallets, payment infrastructure, and financial services in the Central Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
