Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin could not reach quarterfinals of tennis tournament of Olympic Games in London, losing to world number one Roger Federer.

Roger Federer claimed a 3-0 lead in the first set, but Istomin won three games in a row to equalize the score. At the 5-5 score, the match was suspended due to rain.

Federer lost another point after the game was resumed, but he won the set with the score 7:5. Federer was in control in the second set and won it with the score 6:3.

The match lasted an hour and 21 minutes. Denis Istomin recorded seven aces against three of Federer. World number one committed 24 unforced errors against 20 of Istomin.

Federer broke his opponent three times, while Istomin won only one serve of his Swiss counterpart.
