Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Korean Language and Culture Centre has opened at Navoi State University as part of efforts to expand educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation said.

The opening ceremony was attended by Navoi State University Rector Mukhiddin Kalonov, Bucheon University Rector Jang Chun-su, representatives of the two universities and other guests.

The new centre will provide students at Navoi State University with additional opportunities to study the Korean language and culture. It will also support cooperation with higher education institutions in South Korea.

The centre is also intended to expand students’ access to international education opportunities and create additional conditions for further cooperation between universities in the two countries.
