IT Park Uzbekistan and Silicon Village Sign MoU
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — IT Park Uzbekistan and the Pakistani technology initiative Silicon Village have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in innovation and expanding opportunities for startups. The agreement was reached following talks between representatives of both sides.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Lazizbek Khudaev, Deputy CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan for resident relations. Silicon Village was represented by its CEO Abid Kabir Chima.
Under the agreement, the two sides intend to develop cooperation between their innovation ecosystems and create additional conditions for the international growth of technology startups.
Silicon Village is a technology initiative based in Islamabad, focused on developing infrastructure for startups and tech companies by bringing together coworking spaces, partner networks and professional communities.
As part of the cooperation, the parties plan to exchange experience in startup support, incubation and acceleration programs, as well as the commercialization of technological solutions. Special attention will be given to potential joint projects aimed at developing entrepreneurship and advancing digital transformation.
The sides also discussed organizing joint events, including seminars, forums, exhibitions and roadshows. These initiatives are intended to help startups access new markets and strengthen ties between the two ecosystems.
The partnership will also include cooperation in digital technology development, innovation support, talent training and the exchange of experience in shaping innovation policy. The agreement is expected to create additional opportunities for the development of startup ecosystems in both countries.
