Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Head of the Office of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Mukumov, as part of the delegation of Uzbekistan, took part in the annual meeting of the national coordinators of the OSCE participating States on combating human trafficking, held on 13-14 June this year in Vienna, Austria.
During the event, representatives of the delegation of Uzbekistan informed the participants about the work carried out in this area in our country and the measures taken.
In turn, the participants noted that in recent years in Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, positive results have been achieved in combating human trafficking, preventing forced labor, improving the legislative framework in this area and developing cooperation with international organizations.
At the end of the event, the issue of organizing in our country this year an international "round table" on combating human trafficking was discussed.
