Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Information about alleged rocket fire from the territory of Afghanistan on units of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan near the city of Termez is absolutely untrue. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

“The information disseminated by some Telegram channels about the alleged rocket fire from the territory of Afghanistan of the units of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan in the area of the city of Termez is absolutely untrue,” the press secretary of the President Sherzod Asadov said in a statement.

He noted that according to the Ministry of Defense and the Border Troops of Uzbekistan, there is no military activity on the Uzbek-Afghan border, the situation is stable.

“We ask you not to succumb to provocations,” the statement reads.
