Industrial output of Uzbekistan makes up 28.009 trln. soums in 2009

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Industrial production of Uzbekistan made up 28.009 trillion soums in 2009, or grew by 9% year-on-year, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.

The country produced consumer goods for 8.809 trillion soums in the reporting, which is up 13.9% year-on-year in 2009, of which 2.631 trillion soums were food products (up 7%) and non-food products – 5.177 trillion soums (up 19.3%).

Fuel industry occupied the largest share in total volume of industrial output with 21.5% and it was followed by machinery and metal works (16.2%), light industry (12.2%) and non-ferrous metallurgy (11.7%).
