ICT Services Share in Uzbekistan GDP Reaches 2.9%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The share of information and communications technology (ICT) services in Uzbekistan's gross domestic product reached 2.9% in January–June 2026, up from 2.8% a year earlier, the National Statistics Committee reported.
According to the agency, the share of ICT services in GDP stood at 2.4% during the same period in 2024, representing an increase of 0.5 percentage points over two years.
Gross value added created in the ICT services sector in the first six months of 2026 totaled 30.3 trillion soums.
Computer programming, consulting, and related services accounted for the largest share in the structure of ICT gross value added at 53.6%.
Communication services accounted for 28.9% of the gross value added created in the sector, while data hosting and processing services, along with web portal activities, accounted for 10.5%.
Software accounted for 4.4%, and repair services for computers and communication equipment accounted for 2.6%.
Consequently, the largest share of gross value added in Uzbekistan's ICT sector in January–June 2026 was generated by computer programming, consulting, and related services, followed by communication services.
