Head of Uzbekistan's MIPT Holds Talks with Japanese Partners
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, paid a working visit to Japan on 22–23 June 2026, conducting a series of negotiations aimed at strengthening bilateral partnership and attracting Japanese investment.
The central event of the visit was the talks held with the Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan, Ryosei Akazawa. Following the meeting, the parties outlined concrete steps to step up interstate economic relations and deepen strategic cooperation.
In addition, meetings were held with the leadership of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), and the Japan–Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation. The negotiations focused on issues regarding project financing, the expansion of business cooperation, and the implementation of socially significant programs.
During the visit, Kudratov also held targeted meetings with the top management of leading Japanese companies. These discussions resulted in agreements for the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy, finance, banking, microfinance, logistics, healthcare, the food industry, and biotechnology.
