Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with Japan’s Foreign Minister, Takeo Iwai, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The discussions focused on the positive outcomes of the recent visit of the Japanese delegation to Uzbekistan and on concrete measures to strengthen the progress achieved.

Key topics included expanding political dialogue, developing trade and investment, enhancing transport connectivity, and fostering cooperation in education and culture.

Special attention was given to prospects for further deepening the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan, both bilaterally and within international platforms.
