Ferghana region to develop energy-efficient greenhouse complex

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A project to develop a modern greenhouse complex using renewable energy sources is planned for implementation in Ferghana region.

Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov discussed the project’s prospects in Seoul with Park Ji-hong, CEO of GH EnA Co., Ltd.

The meeting was held as part of the regional governor’s working visit to the Republic of Korea. The sides reviewed the concept of establishing a greenhouse complex in Ferghana region using alternative energy sources and discussed opportunities to implement other joint projects.

Representatives of GH EnA Co., Ltd presented the initiative’s main areas, proposed technological solutions and approaches to ensuring the energy efficiency of the future complex.

Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized the importance of broadening the use of advanced and energy-saving technologies in Uzbekistan’s agriculture. He identified the development of modern greenhouses using alternative energy sources as one of the priorities.

The regional governor supported the initiatives proposed by the company and said Ferghana region was ready to provide the necessary practical assistance to implement promising projects.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue cooperation and further develop the technical and economic parameters of the project.
