Digital Technologies Ministry, Group-IB discuss cybersecurity development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with the leadership of Group-IB, a prominent global cybersecurity company. The parties discussed the further development of cooperation aimed at reinforcing information security systems, improving the cyber resilience of both the public and private sectors, and combating cybercrime.
During the negotiations, particular attention was paid to improving mechanisms for detecting and preventing cyber threats, including targeted attacks on the financial sector. Group-IB representatives presented practical recommendations designed to increase the efficiency of information systems protection.
The meeting participants noted that against the backdrop of accelerating digital transformation, the importance of comprehensive information security continues to grow. In this regard, the sides reviewed the prospects for implementing modern cybersecurity solutions, developing early threat detection systems, ensuring business process continuity, and providing consulting support to organizations.
Another key topic of discussion was human capital development and raising digital literacy levels. The parties explored opportunities to organize educational programs, advanced training courses, and specialist certification systems in the field of cybersecurity in partnership with higher education institutions.
Group-IB representatives noted that the meeting allowed for a substantive exchange of views on the current cyber threat landscape in Uzbekistan and provided a platform to discuss long-term approaches to enhancing the country's overall cyber resilience.
Following the talks, both parties confirmed their readiness to continue long-term cooperation in developing the cybersecurity ecosystem, deploying modern technologies, and executing joint initiatives.
