Chinese Firm LinkWise Explores Tashkent Cloud Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives from the Chinese company Shanghai LinkWise Data Tech discussed prospects for cooperation in digitalization, cloud infrastructure development, and the implementation of modern technological solutions with the Tashkent Khokimiyat.

According to the press service of the capital city administration, the meeting took place on 18 June. It was attended by the head of LinkWise, Wang Xuhui, the deputy director of the LinkWise joint venture, Javokhir Makhmudov, the deputy khokim of Tashkent for information technology implementation, Alisher Dusmukhamedov, and the advisor on China issues, Eldor Kholmatov.

The parties reviewed issues of accelerating digital transformation and the effective application of solutions based on artificial intelligence. The consolidation of data into a single digital environment for analysis, processing, and storage was also discussed.

The meeting participants paid separate attention to the development of cloud infrastructure and the construction of data centers in Uzbekistan.

During the negotiations, the possibilities of implementing digital technologies within the framework of the "Safe City" and "Comfortable Urban Environment" concepts were also reviewed.

The discussions touched upon intelligent traffic management systems, the analysis and forecasting of road congestion, ensuring public safety, environmental monitoring, and improving the efficiency of public utilities.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue on expanding cooperation, developing promising joint projects, and supporting the further digital transformation of Tashkent.

In addition, it was noted that in April, the President of Uzbekistan Shakat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the work of the situational center in the khokimiyat of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district, which coordinates the activities of about 30 district organizations, monitors social and utility issues, and manages the operations of emergency services in emergency situations.
