Chinese Company to Launch Transformer Plant in Ferghana
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An investment project for the production of transformers is planned for implementation in the Bagdad district of Ferghana Region in cooperation with Chinese company Qingdao Junling Transformers.
The respective plans were discussed during a meeting between Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs led by the company's founder, Ji Zhaoshang.
During the negotiations, the parties reviewed prospects for implementing investment projects in Ferghana Region. Ji Zhaoshang presented information on the company's activities and experience in transformer manufacturing and outlined plans to launch the new production facility.
Under the project, the first phase involves importing raw materials and components to establish assembly operations. Subsequently, a full-cycle production facility with localized output is planned.
Khayrullo Bozorov noted that a specialized center for supporting foreign investors has been established in the region to assist with the implementation of investment projects. According to him, all necessary practical support will be provided for each project.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to step up cooperation, move to the practical implementation of the project, and signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation.
