Assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan reach 984.4 trillion soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The total assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 984.4 trillion soums as of 1 June 2026, according to data released by the Central Bank.
Banks with state ownership account for 617.1 trillion soums, or 62.7 percent of the total assets in the banking sector. The remaining commercial banks hold 367.3 trillion soums, representing 37.3 percent of the market share.
The National Bank of Uzbekistan remains the largest financial institution in the country by assets, totaling 142.8 trillion soums, which equates to 14.5 percent of the aggregate national figure.
The remaining top positions are held by Agrobank with 119.1 trillion soums (12.1 percent), Uzpromstroybank with 103.6 trillion soums (10.5 percent), Asaka Bank with 61.4 trillion soums (6.2 percent), and Kapital Bank with 59.4 trillion soums (6 percent). Kapital Bank concurrently ranks as the largest private financial institution without government participation in the country.
Conversely, the smallest volume of assets was recorded at Saderat Bank, standing at 612.1 billion soums. This is marginally followed by Poytaht Bank with 997.1 billion soums, Madad Invest Bank with 1.1 trillion soums, Open Bank with 1.6 trillion soums, and AVO Bank with 1.8 trillion soums.
