Anvar Anvarov wins World Athletics tournament in Finland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek representative Anvar Anvarov has won a bronze-level international athletics tournament included in the official World Athletics calendar.

The competition took place in the Finnish city of Joensuu.

In the men's long jump event, the Uzbek athlete recorded a mark of 7.97 meters to claim the gold medal, finishing ahead of his closest competitors from Finland.

Kalle Salminen took the silver medal with a jump of 7.80 meters, while Kasper Vehma secured the bronze medal with a result of 7.64 meters.

The tournament victory earned Anvar Anvarov first place in an international competition included in the official World Athletics calendar.
