Air Samarkand expands route network with new flights in May–June 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Air Samarkand continues its dynamic growth by significantly expanding its route network for the spring–summer season of 2025.

The updated schedule includes new international destinations and increased frequency on existing routes, providing passengers with even more opportunities for comfortable and affordable travel.

Samarkand – Tel Aviv: Direct Flights Between Uzbekistan and Israel

On May 4, the airline launched a direct flight between Samarkand and Tel Aviv, establishing an air bridge between Uzbekistan’s historic city and one of Israel’s major hubs. With Tel Aviv located just an hour from Jerusalem, the route is especially attractive to tourists, pilgrims, and business travelers.

Flights operate on Sundays, with an additional Thursday flight added from July 3, offering greater flexibility. The airline reports a consistently high passenger load in both directions.

Tbilisi and Batumi: Charter Flights to Georgia

The first charter flight from Tashkent to Tbilisi took place on May 18, followed by the launch of services to Batumi on May 24. Operated in partnership with tour operator EasyBooking, these packages include flights, transfers, and accommodations.

From June, the Georgia charter program expands:

Tbilisi: flights on Thursdays and Sundays

Batumi: starting June 9, flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays

Georgia remains a popular destination for Uzbek travelers due to its visa-free entry, pleasant climate, warm hospitality, and rich cultural heritage.

Regular Flights to Baku — Capital of Azerbaijan

Beginning June 6, Air Samarkand will operate scheduled flights to Baku:

From Tashkent: Tuesdays and Thursdays

From Samarkand: Fridays

Baku, known for its blend of ancient heritage and modern architecture, maintains strong economic, cultural, and tourism ties with Uzbekistan.

Samarkand – Istanbul: Increased Flight Frequency

Starting May 26, flights on the Samarkand–Istanbul route will increase to five times per week — on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays — enhancing convenience for travelers.

Service Standards and Strategic Vision

On all flights, passengers enjoy hot meals or breakfast (depending on flight time) and receive a complimentary in-flight magazine featuring travel stories, cultural highlights of Samarkand and Uzbekistan, and company news.

“As we enter the summer season of 2025, we do so with an expanded route map, enhanced service, competitive fares, and attractive travel offers,” said Oleg Ivanov, Director of Public Relations at Air Samarkand. “The new destinations have been carefully selected based on customer interest and growing demand for international travel. We are confident these routes will become mainstays in our schedule and win the hearts of our passengers.”

The route network expansion is part of Air Samarkand’s long-term strategy to strengthen its international presence and boost competitiveness in the regional tourism market. Plans are also underway to grow the airline’s fleet and introduce additional destinations.
