Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A National Investment Fund is being established in Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution "On the Establishment of the National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

According to the document, the fund will be created to increase the market value of net assets, list shares on leading international stock exchanges, and attract international institutional investors to participate in investment processes and the privatization of the fund’s assets.

The resolution includes a list of enterprises and commercial banks whose state shares will be transferred to the fund’s authorized capital.

The fund will be organized as a joint-stock company, with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan being the sole shareholder until the public offering of shares.

The resolution also stipulates that at least 50% of the net profit from the fund’s investment assets will be allocated for dividend payments by the end of each year until 2030.
